Cards Week: 1

Well I took from the poll and the votes are in. Over the weekend I worked on a "Happy Birthday" card that can double as a "St. Paddy's Day" card by simply changing the wording.  I was trying to include more than one of the choices that were requested by my readers! hehe

This is a very simple card that anyone can make! Come guys, i know what you're thinking but let's think...confidence! I really think the hardest part about making handmade cards is figuring out these 4 things:

Happiness is created...

We are tested everyday; through our jobs, children, friends, and family, even with people we've never met. With that said We must find reasons, reasons to go further and make tomorrow count as if it's our last. If it weren't for these reasons, these wonderful distractions that mask the endless trials and tribulations, we would all be consumed with the awfulness that is hatred and despair. With that said we must rejoice in these dreadful flashes these flashes of light that all too often feel like our fate is setting in and realize if it weren't for these moments our triumphs would seem so grim. I find it hard to see the bright lemon-chiffon beaming from the end of the tunnel sometimes but life it too short. 

A day of relaxation, Defenestration, and Consecration.

James (my boyfriend) says Valentine’s Day is just another day for the world to take money, from all the love gurus of the world. hahaha. After doing some research I have found there are many different interpretations behind the meaning and origination of this holiday where heart shaped boxes filled with various chocolates flood the stores for miles around. I think it’s a great day! I mean who wouldn't want some yummy chocolates and maybe some flowers… of any kind really (James got me tulips, my fav!) to decorate their dinning room table? I got James a bamboo tree because... well he is obsessed with plants! Flowers would just be a waste.

"Hello World! Nice to meet you"

I have started this blog for several different reasons. First of all I have a love for writing, capturing memories that will soon be forgotten and reliving the amazing moments of days past. I love art, colors and all things CRAFT! Most days it consumes me and the imagination I can’t turn off. I create handmade cards and wedding invitations that have what I would call a certain pizazz to them that makes everything just pop right off the page.
